To answer your question, I would just generally change the strange notion that we should be embarrassed by being interested in things. Pretending to be aloof and uncaring to be “cool” is the stupidest thing humans do
Oh I 100% agree with that last point. The world is so full of amazing stuff, and the idea that any of it should be off limits to be explored with curiosity and creativity (and kindness) is absurd. I suffer from other people having that opinion of me sometimes. For example, I really love maritime history and old ships. I wanna learn heritage crafts. I love to do permaculture gardening. I find things generally to be so exciting. People who gatekeep that can go do one!

I want to explore how I can write each character in a way that even the way it's written says something about them. I think this is my first real success in that respect. I'm hoping I can grow that idea further.
