I am undecided on how to present the new re-write and wondered if you have an opinion. Would it be interesting to see the old and the new side by side, should I keep them seperate, or even just overwrite the old one completely?
I am also curious to get other peoples opinions on how jarring the current structure is. I personally feel that the way it is now leaves characters too isolated, and with the reader not having characters to hold on to properly.
I would say it will take me a while to do this re-write but I will be documenting the process and continuing to add more writing in the meantime. I would definitely value your opinion on it so far though.
I've read 2 chapters, yes. I'll see if I can read the others then until you republish, then I can definitely give you some feedback on how I like the changes and if they help!
I don't exactly know what would be the best way to proceed... I remember reading another story that I started when it was republished but only had a handful of chapters. I was so captivated by it that I also immediately read the old chapters to learn more about the story. So, I do think it can add value if you leave the old version online as well (if you feel comfortable with it, that is). Especially since you're trying to document the process, I can imagine it being a nice archive for people who might want to look back at what it used to be :)

I definitely feel comfortable with that idea, partly because I think even for me it might be interesting one day. Like looking back at a previous edit of a movie that never made it to the cinema.
